FORGIVEN-POEM

One day I’m in the Lord’s presence, it’s unimaginable joy
The next day I’m ripped from it, and the enemy won his ploy
But every morning his mercies are new
A new opportunity to see His light shining through
As I entrusted my life in His hands
I began to see his miracle working plan
Prayers I’ve prayed for so many years
Amazingly answered as I fought back the tears
Though I’m not deserving of this grace you pour out
You still wash away my sins, and remove all my doubts
There is no greater gift than the this life I am living
To use it for your glory and to know I’m forgiven
 

Awaken From Your Place of Rest

Awake oh sleeper, Awake from your rest
For now is the time to be put to the test
A test of faith, a test of love
That will glorify the Lord above
There are souls that cry out to be saved
They are bound in chains, and are the enemy's slaves
Do you pass by and ignore their pain
Or do you pray for their breakthrough of rain?
Do you reach out and let them know
That Jesus died for them, and loves them so?
Or do you just ignore them and go about your day
Making them feel like their thrown away?
Do not remain in the place of your slumber
For time is short, our days are numbered
The lost are waiting on your words
For they may not have seen nor have heard
Do not let the enemy hold you back
Work through each problem and every attack
His plan is to keep you from reaching the lost
To make you think that it's too great a cost
satan wants to come and plant weeds
To uproot your harvest and steal your seed
You must be awake, you must be alert
For all around you the enemy lurks
Do not look through your fleshly eyes
Instead, the eyes of your spirit, and be very wise
We all are expected to fulfill our call
No matter how big, no matter how small
It's time to be alert, it's time to move ahead
Follow the instructions in His Word you've read
Resist the enemy and he will flee
This will allow you to be free
Do not focus on your past
Focus on His promise that will forever last
Shed off all of those earthly things
For exceeding joy is what He brings
Wake up, wake up, no time rest
Do not wait in slumber, give God your best

Have you been tossed aside, have you been thrown away?
Does the pain from rejection feel like decay?
Locked inside your world so black
Seeping through every crevice and every crack
The stench of the enemy is all around
He crept in while you were feeling down
When it seemed like your world was falling apart
Satan offered you a brand new start
You were too weak to discern the voice
And thought you were making the right choice
Are you comfortable in this pain
Does the thought of ending it all still remain
There is only One who heals from the inside out
He removes all your fears and every doubt
So let His presence fill the air
For Jesus is the one who really cares
The things of this world, it will all pass away
But the hope of salvation is here to stay
Let his light shine through those cracks
Let it run out all in your world that’s been so black
So this choice is yours you see,
To let it all go so that you can be free

JESUS CALMS THE STORMS OF LIFE (POEM)

The storm is raging, as lightning strikes
So close to you in the middle of night
It strikes at everything that surrounds
Making you tremble and cower down
You are lost at sea, with no sight of land
Then Jesus walks over and gives you His hand
He makes the waters begin to calm
As He holds up His hands with nail scarred palms
The darkness immediately becomes light
And not far from you, there's land in sight
It was the darkness that made you fear
It blinded you from seeing land so near
The fear of the noise from the lightning's sound
Is what caused you to cower down
This is satan's greatest scheme
To cause your fear to overcome your dream
The dream that God has placed inside
That satan makes the darkness try to hide
He creates a storm and makes it appear
That you have lost all you've ever held dear
But it's just an illusion, that's all it was
That's exactly what the enemy does
He makes alot of noise and plans his attack
To shoot his arrows where your armor lacks
But Jesus is there, He never leaves
We must open our eyes and just believe
So the next time when the noise comes
Put your armor on, don't turn and run

JOY (POEM)

In the distance, there's a laugh you hear
A laugh that once was filled with good cheer
You ask the people whose around
But they hear nothing, not a sound
It's the beautiful laughter that once filled the air
Drifting farther and farther into the dragon's lair
The laughter that encompassed all of your joy
That made others smile, even when they were annoyed
The smile behind the laughter, that could brighten a day
That let people know things will all be ok
But one day the enemy became very mad
He was tired of your smile making others so glad
For your smile was your joy that came from above
It illuminated the light of the Father's love
The thief took it and ran away
Thinking that all he left you was in dismay
But the JOY of the Lord is our strength
Our joy will make the enemy sink
And our Father promises to restore
All that was stolen and so much more
Determined to see your smile once more
You commanded back what was rightfully yours
Those demons trembled but brought it back
Plus other things that were stolen which you lacked
Now your smile is brighter than ever
This joy that's inside, it will leave you, NEVER

Hand Me Down Emotions (Poem)

As a child you were desperate to receive
Any emotion that someone would leave
The ones you loved with all your heart
Never gave you themselves from the start
Your little mind could never understand
Why they just ignored you when you reached out your hand
Inside your heart love is all you knew
For God placed it inside you as you grew
You began to notice a difference or two
Between the love you gave them versus what they gave you
And so your search began
For a love that's pure, and that won't offend
As the years passed by you continued your search
You even looked for love where demons lurked
But God's plan for your life was still in place
Even when you chased things in such haste
You began to cry out, from all the hurt
Then you asked God, "where's my worth"?
He began to show you in His Word
How He cares for you so much more than you've heard
He brought back to memory your childhood prayers
And how you felt his presence everywhere
Jesus came and mended that place in your heart
He filled it with love and gave a new start
No more second hand emotions, no more hand me downs
For in the crown of life is where your worth is now
Jesus says your value is so much more
Than pieces of love someone dropped on the floor
Don't settle for less, for you are a treasure
Accept God's love, for it can't be measured

There's a time in our lives when our world crashes in
It stems from rejection, disappointment, or sin
We feel as though not a soul could understand
Where we are at this point when the flood rushes in
Many smiles could surround us in a room
But we still feel the weight of life's impending doom
All alone we feel in this battle of life
Ripped apart inside, by heartache and strife
Wounds too numerous to count from all of the years
Each one representing all of our tears
But Jesus was there as each tear fell
As we felt all alone in our own hell
Feeling that life's battles have stripped us bare
Leaving us exposed to a world that doesn't care
Though in our suffering we feel all alone
It's through our weakness we are made strong
The plans of God are not the plans of man
He turns problems around that we can't comprehend
God uses every difficult place where we've been
To strengthen our faith and help others turn to Him
Nothing we endure is ever in vain
Jesus knows where we are and He feels our pain
As we surrender our life completely to Him
He heals every hurt with His nail scarred hands
Let His blood wash over the wounds of your heart
And bring a refreshing and a new start
His promises still remain true
Each one of them spoken for me and for you
They will come to pass if only you will allow
But the time to begin , it is now

LORD HOW MANY TIMES WILL YOU LIFT ME UP

WHEN I'VE FALLEN AGAIN AND MY MIND IS CORRUPT?

HOW MANY TIMES WILL YOU TAKE AWAY MY PAIN, WHEN MY HEART HAS BEEN BROKEN, WOUNDED, & MAIMED?

HOW MANY TIMES WILL YOU DRY MY TEARS, WHEN THE MEMORIES RUSH IN OH FROM SO MANY YEARS?

HOW MANY TIMES IN YOU I WILL DEPEND, WHEN I'M ALL ALONE, AND I'VE LOST MY BEST FRIEND?

HOW MANY TIMES WILL YOU BE MY LIGHT, WHEN DARKNESS HAS FALLEN AND I'M AFRAID OF THE NIGHT?

HOW MANY TIMES WILL YOU SHOW YOUR MERCY AND GRACE, WHEN I'VE MADE A MISTAKE AND CANNOT SHOW MY FACE?

HOW MANY TIMES WILL YOU STAND UP FOR ME, HEAL MY BODY , AND SET ME FREE?

HOW MANY TIMES WILL YOU LEAD ME BACK, WHEN I'VE STRAYED FROM YOUR PATH, AND I'VE GOTTEN OFF TRACK?

HOW MANY TIMES???? I COULD NEVER STOP COUNTING, BUT ONE THING I KNOW, YOU HAVE SAVED ME AND WASHED ME WHITE AS SNOW. LORD, I CAN NEVER THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR YOUR BLOOD, FOR YOUR ENDLESS LOVE THAT FLOWS FROM ABOVE !!!!!

DON'T HIDE YOUR SCARS (POEM)

Don't hide your scars
They are beautiful to me
They represent that YOU ARE FREE!
There is pain and suffering behind every one
All to show that your battle has been won
I know your scars they go so deep
But those scars are not yours to keep
Those scars are meant to share
So others will know God heard your prayer
Show them to the hurting and the lost
So they will see there is power in the cross
